Actually, the name is related to the growing of sugar cane on Maui. Just the same, Sugar Beach happens to have miles of some of the best sand on the Valley Isle and you may want to get out on the beach for some long walks during your stay. Early morning sunrises and early evening sunsets will provide spectacular backdrops. You may also enjoy swimming, wind surfing, and whale watching - during the winter months. After you have been out in the sun and surf, you will appreciate the resort-s central air conditioning. It is one of the few beach front properties with this amenity. Directions

Directions from the airport - 15 miles - 30 minutes. As you exit the terminal you will be on Keolani place - hwy 380. Continue onto Kuihelani hwy - also hwy 380. You will reach an intersection at Puunene Avenue turn left onto Mokulele hwy - Hwy 350. As a land mark you will see King-s Cathedral church - large church with blue roof. Continue driving on hwy 350. As you pass the Puunene sugar mill -HC and S- Mokulele hwy will change to hwy 300. Keep through the sugar fields till you get to a four way intersection. You are now in Kihei town. At that stop light turn right onto N. Kihei road - Hwy 310. Sugar Beach Resort will be located within a quarter of mile on the left hand side of the street. The street address is 145 N. Kihei Road.
